Shiatsu is very similar to acupuncture. It is a Japanese form of healing where the practitioner applies pressure with hands, and sometimes knees and feet. The therapist will talk to you to understand the areas in your life that need improvement. They will create an atmosphere for you to relax and concentrate. They will move their hands on and above your body and work across your body, opening and balancing your chakras (your energy centres) so that your body works at its optimum level for self-healing.
